The Sunward field guide
How do you explore change without calling it destiny?
Uranus appears in the full 40-line browser, not the six default life-theme lines. Its traditional association with change is a prompt, not a forecast of disruption.
Novelty is a question, not an event prediction
Uranus MC is an upper-meridian line in the ten-body calculation. Uranus DSC is a separate setting line. Neither is selected by the four default life themes, so open the all-lines browser and choose Uranus plus the desired angle before comparing city distances.
Astrological language often pairs Uranus with innovation, independence and sudden change. That association can make a useful design question: where would a small experiment be possible? It cannot tell whether a job, friendship or public project will be disrupted.
Worked contrast: Vienna MC and Bangkok DSC
Our reproducible synthetic input is 15 June 1995, 09:30 in Shanghai (Asia/Shanghai), or 01:30 UTC. Vienna is about 29 km from Uranus MC; Bangkok is about 95 km from Uranus DSC. These are shortest modeled surface distances from city coordinates to lines, calculated by the production engine—not customer experiences.
Vienna and Bangkok demonstrate two Uranus angles in one synthetic chart. Vienna can prompt a question about public experimentation; Bangkok can prompt one about flexibility in collaboration. Their distances do not rank how unpredictable either city will feel.
Four Uranus angles, four sites of change
MC, IC, ASC and DSC respectively identify the upper meridian, lower meridian, rising and setting geometric horizon. The questions below are interpretive prompts, not validated life effects.
| Angle | Geometric position | Question to explore |
|---|---|---|
| MC | upper meridian | Where could I trial a new public method? |
| IC | lower meridian | What home routine leaves room for change? |
| ASC | rising at the geometric horizon | How do I enter a new environment without discarding all support? |
| DSC | setting at the geometric horizon | Which relationship agreements allow independence and trust? |
Run a reversible trial
Open the map results, choose “Browse all 40 planetary lines,” then select Uranus and the angle you want to inspect. Confirm the birth details before reading a city distance. The default “All themes” filter contains six selected theme lines; it is a different view.
Before changing countries or careers, test one reversible project: visit a community event, work remotely for a short period if permitted, or interview people doing the work. Define what you will learn and when you will stop.
Employment rules, housing contracts and relationships have real consequences. A close Uranus line does not grant permission to ignore those constraints or promise reinvention.
The map also shows tropical positions for ten bodies and an Ascendant, plus geometric crossings of different bodies’ angular lines. These are not a full house-and-aspect natal chart or a complete paran method, and they do not validate life-event predictions.
Sources and calculation notes
Technical references below explain the calculations. Practitioner references, where included, document the interpretations attributed to them in the text. Neither type establishes that a planetary line predicts a life outcome. How we use sources
